On October 11, 2011 my unit Omega did a lab called Diffusion Lab. In this lab we were told to observe the diffusion of a substance across a semi membrane. We split up into groups and put on our goggles then got straight to work. When we finished with all our five steps we waited 15 minutes for the chemicals to react but nothing happened. We had tried twice with my class but still no result, it didn't help that we were the first class trying it out. Sometimes it's okay for experiments not to work because you can always find something to change. For my class we had a suggestion to why it was not working. Our science teacher Mrs.R had said that maybe it was to strong of a plastic baggie that wouldn't let the chemicals through to react. Also, we knew this experiment was going to work because when me disposed of the chemicals they mixed and it reacted to each other by turning purple as it was supposed to be.
